My tough love approach (heavy on the love) focuses on bringing order to chaos, and creating solid (and straightforward) strategic plans. I take surveys for fun, never met a process I didn’t like, and am a big believer in personal growth as a keystone to business growth.

Intensive task setting can cause more problems than it solves. Everybody knows that it’s essential for getting anything done, but a lot of entrepreneurs get caught in the trap of creating so many tasks that it’s hard to work out which takes priority. This can create a kind of paralysis where you're not sure where to start, and it takes some time to get going in your day.
Here’s a simple trick to become productive immediately: grab a piece of paper and write down three things that need to be done. Now do them.
Don’t cheat: no social media, and no checking your email. Write down three specific tasks that are of vital importance to your business on a piece of paper, put it where you can’t avoid seeing it, and then work exclusively on those tasks.
As each thing is done, cross it off your list. Don’t replace that item on your list yet, just work on the next item until the entire list is done. This gives you proof that things are moving forward, and when you’re done, you get that satisfying feeling of a piece of physical evidence that you accomplished something.
Now, throw it out, grab another paper, and write down another three tasks.
This simple trick can snap you out of that early-morning lethargy, helping you to avoid the time wasters of email and social media. Some of the most productive people use this technique to set priorities and start accomplishing things as soon as they’ve sat down at their desks.
